Race is done and we are back at Port Dickson. I was third in quolifying, it was ok.
After so many years out of the racing boat, it was a bit difficult. I made some
mistakes myself. In the race we had rolling start, which went good.
I climbed up to second place. I was starting to catch Anthony Acosta, when came
yellow flags. Then started problems… My engine stopped working at full power.
In corners it sometimes almost shut down. It was hard to drive boat with not
enough power. As you know, then just need to fly it very high and try to get even
some speed. Anyway it lasted in the end of the race, and I was 4:th. I am not happy
for that because I had very good change to race for the win. But now I have work
to do to make boat and especially engine better to the next race. The winner was
Dr. Ken, second Warren, both Malaysian, which was good. In third place was
climbing Scott from New Zealand.
